Final submission dates for the Pumelo, Enoma and Yensa International Film Festivals have been extended to 20th June 2009. The festival dates are from 14th to 16th July of 2009 in Mumbai, India.

We would like to chat with top indie film makers on Yahoo Messenger for the benefit of young students of mass communication and film making at Enoma. Kindly let us know if you are interested in chatting with us for an hour telling us about your life as a film maker and the techniques & approaches of film making that you use. Questions will be asked to you by our students and you need to only answer them in your own words. You will need a microphone with attached speakers to chat with us so we can broadcast your interview live to our students in our classroom in Mumbai, India. If you fit the bill kindly contact us.

Entries are open for all 3 film festivals we organise. Entries are free and gives all indie film makers an opportunity to be showcased in India.
Yensa & Pumelo Festivals merge with Enoma Festival - Added 22nd May
In an effort to recieve the best of independent cinema and to keep our film festivals free we have decided to merge all 3 of our international film festivals under the Pumelo International Film Festival. Yensa Short Film Festival will be held along with Pumelo International Film Festival & the Enoma International Film Festival.
This merger will help attract more film festival fans, get more quality films and most importantly give the fans a dedicated week of quality cinema from around the world. It also gives us more time to promote the festivals as well as attract well known directors from the indie film circuit. As a film maker whose film is playing at our film festivals, you can expect more exposure for your films, more fans viewing them & also enhance your chances of winning more awards. All film makers travelling to India for the film festivals will recieve special passes for our closing night parties. To conclude, we are happy to be showcasing award winning films at the Pumelo International Film Festival. Keep your entries coming in.....

Yensa Going Crazy - Added 17th April
Thanks to the terrific response you have been giving for Yensa Short Film Festival. We have been getting excellent short films and can now proudly say that we are amongst the top indie short film festivals not just in Asia but the world.
2009 will Rock - Added 12th April
With over 40 world class & award winning films expected at Pumelo 2008 there is absolutely no doubt that 2009 will rock. We would like to invite all the indie film makers from all over the world who have supported us so far to be here for Pumelo 2009.
Enoma & Yensa Update - Added 10th April
The response to Pumelo 2008 has been pretty good so far. We would like more participation from the south east asian countries as well as the east european countries. We have been getting a terrific response to Yensa 2008 thanks mainly to the film makers on MySpace.com, the best site for indie film makers to submit to film festivals.

Yensa Update - Added 28th March
We have already recieved dozens of quality short films for Yensa 2008. We are expecting to screen more than 150 films over 2 days with over 15 different awards being given out. The expected audience is 90 delegates. Kindly submit your films quickly through Yensa.com to be part of the first selection list announced on May 1st. Yensa Festival is ranked the best indie short film festival in Mumbai.

Pumelo 2008 ended well this week and we were extremely happy with the results. In this journey of organising Pumelo 2008 we witnessed a wide range of spectacles along the way including the praisers and the critics talking about us and our film festivals on some websites and forums. Ultimately, we have proven that hard work pays off and we are currently listed as one of the best independent film festivals in the world by a wide array of reliable web sources.
We would like to thank the 400 delegates that participated in Pumelo 2008, the 60 film makers whose films were screened and also the critics for publicising us so much all over the internet. Thanks to this incredible effort we have managed to reach heights we never imagined and in record time.
Finally, a great congratulatory note to all the award winning films and film makers at Pumelo 2008. We promise you and everyone else that Pumelo 2009 will be much, much bigger and better. And, we do hope you continue supporting us through your websites, profiles on film sites and links on blogs, etc. We are currently accepting entries for our other film festivals and in the process of building a website that will list all the film festivals on earth without any regional bias or prejudice.

Things are going great and we are considering organising a European Film Festival in Mumbai, India this August. Pumelo 2008 - Added 23rd March
Pumelo International Film Festival is from February 25th to 29th 2008 in Mumbai, India. Pumelo has a competition for best film based on audience choice & awards prizes for best director, best cinematography, best music, best short, best script, best actor, best actress, best documentary, etc. The films screened at Pumelo International Film Festivals in Asia are selected by a jury and entries are now open on Pumelo.com. All prize winners are sent a Pumelo Award.
Pumelo is a Non-Profit festival funded by SDiMS. Pumelo is growing and requires all the support from the best indie film makers in the world with their presence, films & mentions on their profiles, websites & DVD covers. We expect more film makers coming to India for our film festivals in the coming years. Thank you for your time & effort. It goes a long way towards ensuring we keep our festival free for the public so that more fans can view the films & enjoy the best of world cinema.

Entries for the Yensa International Short Film Festival have started through the festival site Yensa.com only. Kindly enter and submit your quality short films quickly to be part of our early bird screenings list.
You will be glad to know that the Yensa Short Film Festival has just turned 'International' and will be featuring over 150 short films from over 30 countries over 2 days and at 2 venues. It comes as no surprise that Yensa is ranked in the top 5 "international short film festivals in Asia" by Google.
