One Friday night when it was a full moon when I was about 10 my family and I were sitting in the lounge room watching a TV show. Being 10 my sister and I had to get ready for bed, sometimes I would ask my mum to sleep in her room with her because I felt more safe. But she said no that night. My sister and I shared a room together so everything was okay and I went to sleep. Later on that night my Mum and Dad had a friend come over he was a police officer that lived across the road from us. I didn't hear the conversation but I can remember my Dad telling me about the conversation they had, their friend said that on a full moon that people tend to break into houses. That's all I can remember. But me being a light sleeper I heard a banging noise I woke up to a smash in the next room. Hearing that it made me really scared and I screamed and ran up the hallway to Mum and Dads room. I left my sister alone in my room and my other sister was in the room next to us where the window was smashed. I can't remember much after that but I scared the guy away. Lucky for me I woke up otherwise he could have killed my sister.
