It happened at my friends house. It was her birthday, and we were hanging out in the basement. Music was playing, and a disco light was on, the only light to light up that dark basement. When the music shut off, the light fell, and a strange dark shadow ran across the room and fell into the floor, disapearing. Wondering what was going on, we reached for the lights, but the lights wouldn't turn on. In an instant, the strange shadow came up towards our backs, without us even noticing (or at least that must've been what happened), because we all felt a shiver run down our spine, and when we turned around we saw a glance, of that mysterious, creepy, forbidding shadow. But, not only did it disapear for the 2nd time, it left a dark maroon spot on the wall, it didn't take me long to figure out what is was when I started to scream with pain. Abby barked at the sudden upset. "Whats wrong?" Janae (one of the guests at the party) asked, leaping to where I was screaming, just to see my arm slit open, blood pouring out. She screamed turning her face in horror as she turned to go get the parents. But Lauren (the B-day girl) caught her arm just in time to assure her that doing that would cause more trouble then its worth. She sighed and turned to ask Lauren where she kept her first aid kit. Lauren was about to answer, when they were all interuppted by abbey nosily growling at nothing but air, or was their somthing there. We all turned to stare at the dog. She was obviously not happy. Bria (another one of the guests at the party) was soo concerned about Abbey that she decided to go over a pick her up. When Bria got to where abbey was, Lauren, Janae, and I were screaming at Bria, to grab her and run! But Bria wasn't fast enough and by the time she had gotten to where abbey was, the shadow appeared right in the same spot as the air Abbey was barking at, and in an instant grab Bria and lifted her into the air and threw her, dog in hand, to the other side of the room. Abbey barked again, upsetting the shadow, but eventually the shadow slinked away. As Bria was recoiling from the attack, Janae and I were tending to her as Lauren, was turning to go upstairs to get her parents, "Maybe it isn't more trouble then it's worth", she said, forcing a smile. Janae, Bria and I were just about to reply with a "YOU THINK!" when automatically the door to upstairs shut and mysteriously locked. "Lauren," I choked out, "I thought you said you didn't have a lock on your basement door." She turned to look at me with a terrified expression, "Rachel, I don't!"
