I was on my way home from school when my cell phone rang.I answered it.It was Sherry."Hey,Josefina my parents are gonna be gone this weekend and I'm throwing this huge party tonight wanna come?" "I can't,you know how my mom is about parties,Sher.She'll say no before I even explain everything,I replied."

"Just tell her that you just wanna have a sleepover at my house.She'll fall for it.I mean how bad can a sleepover be? Plus, Jose is gonna be there.I know you have a big crush on him. So are ya in?

"Of course I'm in! Hold on okay I gotta open the front door. As soon as I opened the front door my mom greeted me. "How was school Josefina?" "It was great.Mom can I sleepover at Sher's?" I expected her to say no but to my surprise she said yes.

After our conversation I did the usual;I turned on the T.V. I gazed at the television as a picture took over the screen. I listened to the words....."Police are looking for this man. He is suspected of killing more than 20 people......"

Mom walked into the room and briskly kissed me on the cheek."Im late for work again.Call me when you get there okay." I nodded my head and told her to be careful.

That night as I was pulling into the driveway of Sher's house I saw my mom pass by in her car.She was in the car with a man! I knew that I'd seen him from somewhere but at that moment I couldn't place him.

Throughout the whole night this bothered me. I pondered over it so many times but still I just could'nt remember who the man was.

Later that night as Sher and I were about to go to bed the phone rang.It was a police! They informed me that my mother had died in a car accident. I then asked about the guy that was in the car with her.They asked me what this guy looked like and I described him to them.

There was a pause on the line. They told that there had been a dead body found near the car.They also told me that the person had been dead for sometime and that he was a wanted fugitive. At that moment a cold shiver ran up and down my spine. IT WAS HIM! HE WAS THE MAN IN THE CAR WITH MY MOM!
